Frustration:

  • Frustration is normally recognized as the difference between what is expected and the reality of what results.
  • Frustration is often hidden from others.
  • It is a feeling that something should have happened, but it didn't.

Working towards accepting frustration involves accepting reality of a situation as it is. That does not mean that a person should not strive to work towards a new situation.

Therefore there are two principal manners of dealing with frustration. Accepting what is the current situation; or not accepting the current situation and working out a plan to change that current situation to a satisfying new one.
